Lydol
Author, composer and slammer Dolly Sorel Nwafo, aka Lydol, was born in Yaoundé,
Cameroon, on September 15, 1994. Lydol has had a passion for writing since
childhood, and discovered poetry in her teens. In 2009, she took part in a
singing competition, Challenge Vacances, in the karaoke category, reaching the
semi-finals. The following year, she won the competition in the slam category.
She went on to represent Cameroon at the Spoken Word Project in Angola, and took
part in the Poetry Africa Festival in South Africa and the Printemps des Poètes
