Lupillo Rivera
Lupillo Rivera is a multi-award winning Mexican singer-songwriter, known in some
circles as El Toro del Corrido. He's the younger brother of the late performer
Jenni Rivera and, like her, an artist in the vibrant banda tradition.
Rivera was born Guadalupe Rivera Saavedra in 1972, and in the mid-80s at the age
of 15 began composing his own music, dedicating his first song to the memory of
his late friend Miguel Carlos Ortega. After graduating Rivera took a job working
for his father, the singer Pedro Rivera, working for his record label Cintas
