Lucien LUPI
Lucien Lupi was born on July 14, 1926 in Grasse, in the Alpes-Maritimes region
of France. He was only ten years old when he realized that there was something
special about his voice, and it was only natural that he should turn to variety,
operetta and chanson. During the 1953-1954 season at the Européen de Paris, he
had his first big success in the operetta Mobylette, alongside Suzy Delair and
Mona Monick, as well as Michel Roux and Roger Lanzac, who, like him, were still
