Laurence Nerbonne hails from Gatineau, Quebec, where the Canadian pop artist was
born on March 24, 1985. Before establishing her own version of electropop music
as a solo artist, she performed with the band Hôtel Morphée during the early
2010s, handling vocal, guitar, and violin duties on albums like Des Histoires De
Fantômes and Rêve Américain. She left the group during the decade's middle half
and began recording XO, which marked her solo debut upon its release in 2016.
