Daughter of Nathalie Baye and Johnny Hallyday, Laura Smet first chose to express
herself through her mother. Laura Smet made her acting debut in 2002 in Xavier
Giannoli's film Les Corps Impatients. In 2004, Laura Smet received the Prix Romy
Schneider, awarded each year to a rising star of French cinema. Following her
father's health problems in December 2009, Laura Smet performed a duet with
David Hallyday entitled "On se fait peur". Laura Smet thus paved the way for a
possible career as a singer, in addition to the acting career she had begun in
the best possible way.
