Laura Canoura Sande is a celebrated singer and composer known for her
contributions to popular Uruguayan music. She was born on January 2, 1957, in
Montevideo, Uruguay. She began her artistic journey studying theater and music,
eventually forming the influential musical group Rumbo in 1979 alongside
musicians Mauricio Ubal, Gonzalo Moreira, and others. The group quickly gained
