A child of Paris's 19th arrondissement, Lapso Laps is a rapper of Algerian
origin. Although he debuted in 1995 and appeared on the 1997 compilation Le 19
Sort de l'Ombre, he subsequently disappeared from the rap scene due to
circumstances linked to his private life. Influenced by American rap greats such
as N.W.A. and Public Enemy, Lapso Laps' "old-school" gangsta rap is not devoid
of charm. Backed by Rohff, Lapso Laps released his Ghostape with the collective
