Born in Chiang Mai, Thailand on November 3, 1983. Lanna Commins is a Thai pop
fusion singer. She is the daughter of Thai folk singer Soontaree Vechanont and
an Australian father. She grew up spending time between Malaysia and Australia.
Commins settled in Chiang Mai and began singing at her mother’s restaurant. She
was discovered by some of personnel from the GMM Grammy label, who signed her to
a recording contract. She released three albums for the label: Lanna Commins
(2004), Yin Dee Pee Ra Gaa (2005), and Happy Trip (2007).
