Lalo Rodríguez is the stage name of Ubaldo Rodríguez Santos, a Puerto Rican
salsa singer who rose to fame in the late '80s with the hit single "Ven,
Devórame Otra Vez." Born on May 16, 1958, in Carolina, Puerto Rico, he got his
start as a singer at a very young age, performing in local festivals and radio
shows. In 1973, he joined Eddie Palmieri's band and sang on the composer's 1974
Grammy Award-winning LP, The Sun of Latin Music, as well as on its follow-up,
1975's Unfinished Masterpiece. In 1980, he launched his solo career with the
album Simplemente... Lalo, followed by Nueva...
