French rapper L'Allemand, whose real name is Émir Chelabi, was born in 1995. He
grew up in Vénissieux, in the Minguettes housing estate in the southern suburbs
of Lyon. He inherited his nickname at this time, because of his blue eyes and
blond hair. Early on, he began writing and even recording, and in 2015, while
battling insomnia, he spent his nights searching for instrumentals on social
networks. He threw himself determinedly into rap, releasing his first proper
single, "Elle t'a quitté", in 2017. A stint in prison in 2018 slowed his ascent,
