Veronica Lucchesi and Dario Mangiaracina formed the Italian pop/rock band La
Rappresentante di Lista in Valledolmo, Sicily, in 2011. Lucchesi had grown up in
Viareggio, while Mangiaracina spent his childhood in Palermo. Both were theater
buffs, and they met during rehearsals for the play Educazione Fisica. Describing
their sound as "queer pop," the musicians made their studio debut with 2014's
(per la) Via di casa, an album that featured songs performed in Spanish as well
