Kim Appleby
Kim Lorraine Appleby was born on August 28, 1961 in Stoke Newington, England, to
a Jamaican father and a British mother. After a difficult childhood marked by
the painful separation of her parents, she and her sister Melanie were quickly
spotted by the legendary Stock Aitken and Waterman production team, already
responsible for the success of such colts as Jason Donovan, Rick Astley and
Kylie Minogue. Together, they scored a string of dance hits in the 80s, but the
