Born in Los Angeles, California on October 14, 1965, Karyn White is a soul / R&B
vocalist best known for a series of hit singles in the late 1980s and early
1990s. Spending her early years singing with a church choir, she then began a
career as a backing vocalist for other recording artists. Her first break came
in 1986 when she provided lead vocals for the song “Facts of Love” by jazz
keyboardist Jeff Lorber. After several other recording sessions, she signed with
