Joe Dart, born April 18, 1991, in Harbor Springs, Michigan, began playing bass
at age 8, inspired by Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He attended Flea’s
conservatory at 14 and later studied music at the University of Michigan, where
he co-founded Vulfpeck in 2011 with Jack Stratton, Theo Katzman, and Woody Goss.
Known for his virtuosic playing, Dart’s work shines on tracks like Dean Town
from The Beautiful Game (2016). Vulfpeck gained a global following with seven
