Known in the salsa scene as “El Trombón Criollo,” Jimmy Bosch (October 18, 1959)
is an American trombonist and bandleader of Puerto Rican descent. Throughout his
career, he’s recorded with some of the biggest names in Latin music, such as
Rubén Blades, Marc Anthony, Eddie Palmieri, and Celia Cruz. A New Jersey native,
Bosch took his first steps with the trombone in school at age eleven. By the
time he was thirteen, he was already playing in several local Latin bands such
