Jed Madela – born John Edward Tiña Tajanlangit in Iloilo City, Iloilo,
Philippines on July 14, 1977 – is a singer, songwriter, and entertainer best
known as the first Filipino to win the World Championship of the Performing Arts
title. Nicknamed ‘The Voice’ and ‘The Singer’s Singer’, he first came to
prominence in 2003 when he was the first male representative from the
Philippines to participate in the Voice of Asia contest. During that contest, he
