Born in Djursholm, Sweden on October 16, 1952, Jakob Lindberg is a Swedish
lutenist. His is best-known for the first ever recording of the Complete Solo
Lute Music of John Dowland and other previously unrecorded music. He directs
operas that utilize instruments from the lute and guitar families. As a player,
he has performed solo and in small and large ensembles. He began his musical
