Jagwar Ma
Incredibly enough, Australian band Jagwar Ma appear on their 2013 debut album
Howlin as a distant continuation of the Madchester movement of the 1990s. Formed
in 2011, the duo of Gabriel Winterfield and Jono Ma, supplemented from 2012 by
bassist Jack Freeman, are good enough in their register to be acclaimed by Noel
Gallagher, who knows Happy Mondays and Primal Scream like no one else. In 2016,
the band, buoyed by the hopes placed in their up-to-the-minute psychedelic
dance-rock, completed a new album, Every Now & Then .
