John Peel-approved UK indie rockers Hefner formed in east London in 1992 and
enjoyed a brief yet influential career, developing an ardent fanbase between the
years 1996 and 2002. Vocalist and guitarist Darren Hayman (who went on to amass
a prolific solo repertoire) met drummer Antony Harding at art school in Kent and
after moving to London two years later, expanded the duo to include bassist John
