The music career of the Indonesian songwriter and producer Glenn Fredly began in
1995 when he won the country's prestigious Cipta Pesona Bintang song contest.
Shortly after winning the competition he joined the funk rock band Funk Section
who he performed with for three years prior to going solo in 1998. His debut
album 'GLENN' sold 50,000 copies, a creditable commercial success in a country
which doesn't have a significant following for R&B music. The album's follow-up,
'Kembali', was released in 2000 and spawned the hit single 'Kasih Putih' which
enjoyed extensive radio airplay...
