Gaia Gozzi (September 29, 1997), known mononymously as Gaia, is an Italian singer-songwriter who first jumped into the public eye as the runner-up on the tenth season of X Factor in 2016. Born in the city of Guastalla in Emilia-Romagna to a Brazilian mother and an Italian father, she often honors her Latin heritage by incorporating Portuguese into her songs. In 2016, she became a contestant on the show X Factor under the tutelage of rapper Fedez, reaching the semi-finals and finishing in second place.
