Japanese alternative rock band Fujifabric was formed in Yamanashi, Japan in
2000. Founded by Masahiko Shimura and Takayuki Watanabe while still in high
school, the band originally started out as a covers band. Once they graduated
from high school, they took the band more seriously and relocated to Tokyo.
Bringing in three additional musicians, the band’s first official Fujifabric
live performances was in October, 2001. Signing a record deal with Song-Crux
followed and the band released their first EP, À la carte, in 2002. A line-up
