Acclaimed accordion player Frode Haltli was born in Levanger, Norway on May 15,
1975. He began playing accordion at the age of 7, winning several national
competitions and scholarships over the next few years. In 1991, he won first
prize on Norwegian television’s talent competition show Talentiaden. He
continued to study the accordion at the Norwegian Academy of Music (Oslo), and
the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music (Copenhagen). After receiving several
