Taking their name from a popular figure in Colombian folklore, Francisco, el
Hombre are an eclectic music collective from Campinas, São Paulo. Formed in 2013
by Mexican-born brothers Sebastián and Mateo Piracés-Ugarte, the band describes
their music as “pachanga folk,” a melting pot of Latin American musical
traditions that range from MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) to Mexican music and
