Standing as one of the biggest commercial metal acts of the 2010s, Five Finger Death Punch's brand of anthemic, heavy rock continues to produce successful, top ten albums in the US and long-running, globetrotting arena tours.

Despite growing up under communist rule on an army base in Hungary, Zoltan Bathory had his life turned upside down when he discovered Metallica and Iron Maiden, and without speaking English he headed to America with his guitar. His determination and resourcefulness led to him playing with post-grunge outfit U.P.O. and recording sessions with pop starlet Mandy Moore, before he founded Five Finger Death Punch in 2005 with drummer Jeremy Spencer and sought to combine hard-shredding solos, thrash breakdowns and melodic choruses.

With Ghost Machine frontman Ivan Moody joining the following year, their debut album 'The Way of the Fist' helped build a solid underground following, but it was with second guitarist Jason Hook that the band started to evolve on platinum-selling follow-up 'War Is the Answer' in 2009. At a time when many young hard rock acts were struggling to compete with established metal icons, third album 'American Capitalist' lifted them above the crowd and reached number three in the US charts. Bass player Matt Snell was replaced by Chris Kael in 2010, yet their prolific run continued with the two concept albums 'The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 1', featuring Iron Maiden's Rob Halford, and 'The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 2', which included the world-weary single 'Battle Born'.

Both records reached number two in the US charts and their ambition and crossover appeal to rock radio continued with 'Got Your Six' in 2015. Five Finger Death Punch have also formed a connection with many fans serving in the US military and they remained reliably patriotic and sincere when they returned with their seventh studio album 'And Justice for None' in 2018.

During a tour with Breaking Benjamin, Spencer was replaced by Charlie Engen to allow Spencer to take time out for a back operation. It was later announced that for these reasons, Spencer would not be returning to the band and, in December of 2019, they released the single 'Inside Out' and the statement that their next and eighth studio album, 'F8', would be due for release in February 2020.
