Finger Eleven, formerly known as Rainbow Butt Monkeys, are an alternative rock
band formed in Ontario, Canada in the early 1990s. Forming in high school, the
band recorded their debut album 'Letters from Chutney', funded by winning a
local radio talent contest. After signing to Coalition Entertainment in 1996,
the band changed their name to Finger Eleven and released their debut record
'Tip' in 1997.
The band achieved their first taste of commercial success with the release of
'The Greyest of Blue Skies' in 2000, which was certified gold in Canada and led
