Fast Animals and Slow Kids
Named for a Family Guy gag, Italian rock band Fast Animals and Slow Kids formed
in the central Italian city of Perugia in 2007. Featuring the lineup of frontman
Aimone Romizi, guitarist Alessandro Guercini, bassist Jacopo Gigliotti, and
drummer Alessio Mingoli, the band initially began to write songs in English, but
reverted to their native tongue for their 2010 debut EP, Questo è un
cioccolatino. Later that year, the band was awarded the title of Best New Group
at the Arezzo Wave Festival, a long-running event established to feature new
Italian artists.
