Eva Correia José Maria (September 17, 1951), better know as Evinha, is a
Brazilian singer who rose to prominence in the early 60s as one-third of doo-wop
and soul act Trio Esperança. Formed in 1958 by Evinha and her siblings Mário and
Regina, the group enjoyed great popularity during the Jovem Guarda era and
released a series of successful albums such as Nós Somos o Sucesso (1963), A
Festa do Bolinha (1966), and O Fabuloso Trio Esperança (1968), after which
Evinha left the group to launch her solo career. In 1969, she won the Festival
