A graduate of Boston's Berklee School of Music, saxophonist Eric Marienthal cut
his teeth in Al Hirt's orchestra and Walt Disney productions before launching
his solo career in 1987 with the album Voices of the Heart. A symbol of syrupy
jazz emboldened by a hint of improvisation, the Californian virtuoso flirts with
funk and rock influences in a discography punctuated by commercial successes,
including the 2012 album It's Love.
