Emily Loizeau first came to prominence with the album L'Autre Bout du Monde in 2006, and has gone on to demonstrate her talents as a songwriter and composer in a wide variety of musical styles. Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine on February 7, 1975 to a French father and English mother, the granddaughter of actress Peggy Ashcroft began playing the piano at the age of five, and went on to study music.
