Leandro Roque de Oliveira, best known by his stage name, Emicida, was born on
August 17, 1985, and has since grown to become one of the leading artists in
Brazil's underground hip-hop scene. Hailing from the streets of São Paulo, his
journey began early in the 1990s, drawing inspiration from dance parties
organized by his parents. Despite facing several challenges throughout his life,
including the tragic loss of his father during his childhood, Emicida found
