German singer Dominique Lacasa followed her parents—the GDR popstars Frank
Schöbel and Aurora Lacasa—into showbiz, making her debut in the 1985 Christmas
special aged nine along with her sister Odette and releasing the best-selling
album Weihnachten in Familie (Christmas with Family) that same year. She gained
prominence as a singer in the 1980s and 1990s, keeping the festive tradition
alive on follow-up album Fröhliche Weihnachten in Familie (Happy Christmas with
Family), issued shortly before her parents' divorce, before forming pop duo Two
