Crafting sun-blissed, art-pop melodies and lush, rumbling grooves, Django Django
were quickly heralded as the latest saviours of British rock when their oddball
psychedelic indie music first started making waves in 2011. Formed at art school
in Edinburgh by drummer/producer David Maclean, early gigs in Dalston led to
their jangling, kaleidoscopic folktronica and DIY, Beach Boys-style harmonies
being dropped alongside the likes of Super Furry Animals and Animal Collective.
Obvious comparisons were instantly drawn with Maclean's brother's former group
