The American actress Diane Guerrero was born on July 21, 1986 in New Jersey. She
grew up in Boston and stayed back in the USA alone at the age of 14, as her
parents and siblings were deported from the country. Other Colombian families
raised her and at the age of 24 she began to pursue an acting career. With her
roles in the hit series Orange is the New Black (2012) and in Jane the Virgin
(2014), she found a wide audience and developed her own fan base. She used her
popularity to campaign for the rights of immigrants and published the book In
