Dax Riders were one of the first French electro-rock bands to experiment with a
dirty house version. Formed in 1994 as a duo, Dax Riders became a trio in 1998.
Their debut, the EP "Hysterical Mama", hinted at electro funk rock with a house
flavour, but their first album, Dax, in 1999, failed to make a breakthrough. It
wasn't until 2001 and the track "People" on Backintown that they broke through.
More at ease with covers than good songwriting, they returned to the top in 2005
with their rendition of Kiss' disco rock standard "I Was Made for Lovin' You ".
