Cyntia
The Japanese all-girl heavy metal band Cyntia were the first members of what was
later termed Japan's 'girl metal band boom' to sign to a major label. Other
bands within the movement were Aldious and Destrose both of whom were signed to
independent labels. The group was founded by guitarist Yui and drummer Kanoko in
2011 and after recruiting keyboard player Ayano and bassist Airi plus Saki, a
former idol singer, the girls declared themselves ready to launch the band and
released their debut single 'Run to the Future' in 2012. The album 'Endless
