Led by twin brothers Silvano and Ivano Michetti, the Italian pop group Cugini di
Campagna rose to prominence in the early 1970s with their glam rock-inspired
stage outfits and falsetto-driven earworms. The band was formed in Rome in 1970
and was soon discovered by producers Bruno Zambrini and Gianni Meccia, who
produced and released their eponymous studio in 1972. Featuring influences from
prog rock and folk, the album contained the hit single "Il Ballo di Peppe,"
which received heavy airplay on the Alto Gradimento radio show. Cugini di
