Trailblazing metalcore outfit Converge emerged from the Boston underground scene
in the early 1990s with their jazz-infused calisthenics and hardcore punk
attitude. Founded in Salem, Massachusetts, by lead vocalist Jacob Bannon and
guitarist Kurt Ballou in 1990, the group's lineup was completed with the
