Born in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England on October 14, 1945, Colin
Hodgkinson is a rock, blues, and jazz bassist. He’s released two solo albums
during his 50+ year career, but he is best known as a prolific sideman and
studio musician. His first band, the Dynatones, formed in 1959 and split up a
year after opening for the Beatles in 1964. Turning professional in 1966, he
joined the Eric Delaney Band, but stayed with them for less than a year. Moving
