Born in Paris on October 27, 1992, Clara Dufourmantelle, known as Clara Ysé, is
the daughter of psychoanalyst and philosopher Anne Dufourmantelle and painter
Bruno Dufourmantelle. Introduced to music as a child, she took violin lessons
from the age of four, then began singing opera at the age of eight with Yva
Barthélémy. In her teens, she composed her first songs on guitar, while studying
literature at the Lycée Lakanal in Sceaux (Hauts-de-Seine), then philosophy at
