The Korean singer Cheeze was born Im Hye-kyung on August 19, 1991. She first
gained notoriety in the rock band Cheeze, where she performed under the name
Dalchong. The group formed in 2011, but every other member of the group left by
2016, at which point She took the name of the band as her performing moniker.
She began releasing solo material in 2017 and had two hit singles right out of
the gate. “Love You (Bye)” went top 10, while the duet “Perhaps Love” with Eric
Nam sold more copies that “Love You (Bye)” though it only reached number 14.
