Throughout her short-lived career, American R&B vocalist Chantay Savage (July
16, 1971) became a mainstay on the US charts in the early to mid-90s. Before
launching herself as a successful solo artist, the Chicago native spent her days
working as a session musician and penning songs for other artists, most notably
CeCe Peniston’s 1992 hit single “We Got a Love Thang.” “If You Believe,” her
debut single, arrived in 1993 and was quickly followed by the release of studio
