Chancellor, aka Michael Kim, is one half of the production and songwriting duo
Duble Sidekick as well as an R&B and neo-soul singer-songwriter making waves on
his own.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Chancellor, whose birth name is Kim Jung Seung, was
moved to Los Angeles, USA and raised there from an early age. Music runs deep in
the family and his father Kim Sang-Bok played bass in a Korean rock band from
1981 to 1987. Kim cites his father as an early influence, though it was R&B that
would have a greater impact on his career.
