Cécile Corbel was born in Pont-Croix, Finistère, on March 28, 1980. The release
of her homonymous debut album in 2005 unveiled her style of Celtic music with
pop-rock accents and medieval influences, as on the two volumes of her Songbook,
released in 2006 and 2008. Her popularity in Japan led her to compose the music
for the film Arrietty, le Petit Monde des Chapardeurs, released in theaters in
2011. She continued the Songbook series with the release of two new volumes in
