Cally Kwong Mei-wan, born on December 24, 1962, in Hong Kong, is a singer who
performs in the Cantopop genre. Despite a challenging upbringing, with her
mother's untimely death and impoverished conditions, she emerged as a symbol of
resilience and ambition. At 19, she gained recognition as the 1st runner-up in
the Miss Hong Kong contest of 1982, after which she represented Hong Kong at the
32nd Miss World contest. Her impressive journey in pageantry paved the way for
her subsequent ventures, leading to a successful career in the music industry.
