Brian Tyler is a prolific American composer known for orchestral scores for
films, television series and video games. Born in Southern California, he
studied at UCLA and Harvard and learned to play many musical instruments.
Encouraged by Robert Kraft, then head of music at 20th Century Fox, he began
writing for the screen starting with Gabe Torres's 'Bartender' (1997). He
composed the music for the Fox television series 'Living in Captivity' in 1998
and then was employed steadily on TV movies and series such as 'Level 9' (2000)
