Jack Antonoff, better known as the lead singer and guitarist in indie rock band
Fun, decided to branch out in 2014 and started a new project he called
Bleachers. While he was on tour with Fun, Antonoff started writing music
inspired by the 1980s and 1990s films of John Hughes including The Breakfast
Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Uncle Buck. The music in these films
appealed to Antonoff's creative side and produced Bleachers' debut single "I
