The Emmy-nominated American composer Blake Neely was born in Paris, TX, April
28, 1969. By the early 2000s, he had become one of Hollywood's foremost
composers in film and TV, earning acclaim for his work on the WB program
Everwood, the first three Pirates of the Carribbean films, the box-office smash
King Kong, the HBO mini-series The Pacific, the superhero TV series The Flash,
and much more. Between his composition jobs, Neely also established himself as a
conductor, arranger, orchestrator, and author of the how-to book "Piano for
Dummies."
