Billy Dean is an American country singer and guitarist who came to prominence in
the 1990s. As a child he performed with his father's band Country Rocks. He
performed on the Gulf Coast of Florida in his early days and was the winner of
Ed McMahon's 'Star Search' in 1988.
He made his debut with 'Young Man' in 1990, an album featuring his strong
baritone voice on mainly country ballads. He had hits with the gospel-influenced
