Born Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, American rapper Big Sean was born in Santa
Monica, California, on March 25, 1988. Raised in Detroit by his mother and
grandmother, he was working as a telemarketer and doing rap battles on a local
radio station when he sneaked into a promotional interview with Kanye West and
begged the star to perform for him. This led to West signing the budding hip-hop
